Patna: The pre-monsoon period has started in Bihar from Sunday itself. Pre-monsoon will remain active till May 31. During this time the Sun will gradually move towards the Tropic of Cancer. Due to this increase in temperature, there is a possibility of light rain to strong thunderstorm and hailstorm. The minimum and maximum temperatures in March will be higher than normal. The normal maximum temperature of the state is expected to be between 30-32 degrees Celsius. There are chances of less than normal rainfall during this period. The average normal rainfall in Bihar is 10.4 mm. There is no possibility of heat wave in the state this time. According to the Meteorological Center, Patna, while releasing the weather forecast in March, it has been said that the southern parts including the capital will be warmer than the northern parts.

The maximum temperature of the state is expected to be between 28-34 degree Celsius and 12-19 degree Celsius. Due to Pachhua, there will be slight cold effect in the morning and evening. The state’s lowest minimum temperature of 13.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bhagalpur (Sabaur). The minimum temperature of the capital was recorded at 19.1 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, the maximum temperature of Patna increased by three degrees to 31.4 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature was recorded in Motihari at 33.6 degrees Celsius. A decline was recorded in the maximum temperature of 10 districts including Patna on Sunday.
