Case resolved with the initiative of former Sadar Assembly candidate Vicky Kumar Dhan, Rs 14 lakh compensation and assurance of free education
Hazaribagh, Jharkhand:- After the untimely death of late Jitendra Kumar Ram, father Ganesh Ram, resident of Village Marhand Base Panchayat Police Station Katkamdag District Hazaribagh in a loader accident, there was deep mourning and anger in the area. In protest against the incident, the villagers started a protest at the Narasimha Aayaran Sponge Plant premises from 7 am and raised the demand for proper compensation. Seeing the situation becoming serious, Vicky Kumar Dhan and Sanjay Bhuiyan, personal media representatives of former Sadar Assembly candidate Munna Singh, intervened and initiated talks between the factory management and the agitating villagers.
Keeping in mind the financial condition of the victim’s family, responsibility of the dependents and concern for the future, he strongly demanded respectable compensation. After several rounds of talks, an agreement was reached between the two parties. Under the agreement, cash compensation of ₹ 13,50,000, assistance of ₹ 51,000 for the last rites and complete education of one child of the family was assured free of cost. In this regard, Vicky Kumar Dhan said that it is not just a matter of compensation, but a question of human sensitivity and social responsibility.
He said that in this hour of grief, it is the responsibility of the society to provide all possible support to the victim’s family. We clearly told the management that it is necessary to secure the future of the family. In future too, injustice will not be allowed to happen to anyone. After the agreement, the mortal remains of the deceased were respectfully sent to his village through an ambulance. During this, hundreds of villagers including Sanjay Bhuiyan, Surendra Bando, Sugan Ram, uncle of the deceased, Uday Ram, Bhim Ram, Pappu Ram were present.
