Election war in Bengal: Amit Shah’s sharp attack on Mamata government, big announcement on ‘change’ and infiltration

Country. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while blowing the election bugle in West Bengal, strongly attacked the Trinamool Congress government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a public meeting in South 24 Parganas. He said that development of the state is not possible through appeasement politics and Bengal is drowned in huge debt.

Shah claimed that the state has a debt of about Rs 8 lakh crore. He raised questions on the financial assistance being given to madrassas and said that the government’s priorities are focused on vote bank politics instead of development.

During the meeting, he raised the issue of nepotism while referring to the politics of Bihar, Assam and Tamil Nadu and criticized Tejashwi Yadav, Gaurav Gogoi and M.K. Also targeted at Stalin.

Purpose of Parivartan Yatra-
Amit Shah said that the aim of BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ is to end corruption in West Bengal and make a new beginning of development. He alleged that due to appeasement politics the economic and social condition of the state is continuously deteriorating.

He said that if the BJP government is formed, the state will be freed from infiltrators and the security of border areas will be strengthened.

Comment on Mamta Banerjee and ‘nephew’-
Making a direct attack on Mamata Banerjee, Shah said that if Trinamool Congress comes to power again, the government will not be run by the Chief Minister but by her ‘nephews’. He was referring to Abhishek Banerjee.

He also alleged that there are preparations to send former DGP Rajiv Kumar to Rajya Sabha, while corruption increased during his tenure.

Assurance on infiltration and citizenship-
The Home Minister said that Trinamool Congress has made Bengal a safe haven for infiltrators. If BJP government is formed, strict action will be taken against illegal infiltrators.

He also assured that the citizenship of any Hindu refugee will not be taken away. Shah also promised that if BJP comes to power, state government employees will be given salaries as per the Seventh Pay Commission.

Due to this speech given in the election environment, the heat in the politics of West Bengal has increased further.
