Today we will tell you in detail about the changing color of the tongue and its effect on the body according to Ayurveda, so that you will be able to know for yourself whether everything is fine or not.
Many people’s tongue remains very white. This is a sign of increase in Kapha and Aama Dosha. This condition occurs when food is not digested properly and toxins start accumulating in the body. In such a situation, a white layer starts accumulating on the tongue. To avoid this, it is very important to improve digestion.
Light red or pink tongue. According to Ayurveda, light red or pink tongue indicates aggravation of Pitta dosha. This happens when heat increases in the body and problems like gas and constipation start occurring. Light red or pink color of the tongue can also be a sign of vitamin B-12 deficiency. In such a situation, there is always weakness in the body and acid production occurs rapidly.
Light yellowing of the tongue is also a sign of disease. Such a situation occurs when both bile and toxins start increasing in the body. These mainly accumulate in the intestines and the effect is visible on the entire body. Yellow tongue also shows increased load on the liver. Now the liver does not produce hormones properly, yet the tongue becomes light yellow.
Dryness of the tongue shows the increase of Vata dosha in the body, and along with it it is also the reason for the deficiency of Rasa Dhatu. When this happens, one feels thirsty again and again, but even water is not able to reduce the dryness of the tongue. To avoid this, oil pulling can be resorted to. This will maintain moisture inside the entire mouth.
