Anurag Dhanda’s allegation, ‘Out of Rs 5000 crore allocated in the last budget, only 12 percent was spent on women’

Haryana News: Aam Aadmi Party’s national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda has given his reaction on Haryana’s budget 2026-27. He said that the people of the state are raising many questions regarding the budget. He says that only time will tell how effective the presented budget will be in the direction of development, but based on the data, some concerns have definitely come to light.

Loan more than Rs 3.5 lakh crore

Anurag Dhanda said that the state is said to have a debt of more than Rs 3.5 lakh crore, while the total financial burden is estimated to be more than this. About 34 percent of the budget’s income is expected to come through borrowing. Also, an amount of about Rs 67,000 crore is likely to be spent in repaying the installments of old loans. In such a situation, discussions are being held regarding the resources available for development works.

Lado Lakshmi Yojana also mentioned

Lado Lakshmi Yojana announced for women was also mentioned. He says that if a large number of women are to be given assistance of Rs 2100 per month, then adequate budget provision is necessary for this. At present, a provision of Rs 6,500 crore has been made for this scheme in the budget and about 9 lakh women are getting its benefits. People also have expectations regarding the expansion of this scheme.

What did Anurag Dhanda say on the education sector?

Talking about the education sector, he said that there is a need to increase expenditure on education. Thousands of posts are said to be vacant in government schools and colleges. If these posts are filled then students can get better education facilities.

Concern also expressed regarding health sector

Concern was also expressed regarding the health sector. A provision of 6.02 percent expenditure on health has been made in the budget. There is a need to strengthen the availability of doctors and facilities in hospitals. There has been a demand for expansion of resources in institutions like Rewari AIIMS, Gurugram Civil Hospital and Rohtak PGI. He said that it is important to focus on effective implementation of the budget keeping in mind the expectations of the public, so that the benefits of development can reach every section of the society.
