Ranveer Singh wins Yash at the box office! ‘Dhurandhar 2’ leaves ‘Toxic’ 10 times behind, know its release date

New Delhi: Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge and Yash’s Toxic are scheduled to release in theaters on March 19, 2026. Even before the release, there is a strong competition between the two films.

There are only 17 days left for the release, but the initial figures of advance booking in America are showing Ranveer Singh’s film far ahead. Dhurandhar 2 has left Toxic far behind, due to which there is a lot of excitement among the fans.

Big difference in advance booking in America

According to trade analysts and the latest figures from Venky Box Office, Dhurandhar 2 has made a great start for the premiere shows in America. The film has earned US$33,723 by selling 1,953 tickets in 209 shows in 151 theatres. At the same time, Yash’s Toxic is still in its initial stages. It sold only 189 tickets for 122 shows in 81 theaters, earning $3,665.

That means Dhurandhar 2 has sold about 9 to 10 times more tickets than Toxic. Let us tell you, in the last 24 hours, there has been a jump of 159% in the bookings of Dhurandhar 2, while the bookings of Toxic are increasing at a slow pace.

Story of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic

The first film of Dhurandhar 2 was a hit at the box office and earned 21 million dollars in America and Canada. In this sequel, Ranveer Singh again plays the role of Hamza, who infiltrates Pakistan as an Indian spy. The film has big names like Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun. Director Aditya Dhar has made it an action-packed spy thriller.

On the other hand, Toxic is a unique gangster drama, in which Yash will be seen in three different roles. There are actors like Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi. Director Geetu Mohandas has described it as a ‘fairy tale for grown-ups’. After the success of KGF series, fans have high expectations from Yash, but the base of Kannada films in America is not yet strong.
