Hathras: A painful road accident took place in Saadabad area in the early hours of Monday. Near Garhi Hariya village on Yamuna Expressway, a speeding double decker bus hit the Eeco car moving ahead from behind. The collision was so severe that there was chaos among the Echo riders.
In this accident, 13 people traveling in the car were injured, out of which six died on the spot. As soon as the information was received, police and administration teams reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem. The injured were immediately admitted to nearby hospitals, where their treatment is ongoing. Due to the accident, traffic on the expressway was affected for some time, which was later normalized.
According to preliminary information, the bus was going from Delhi towards Gorakhpur, while the Eco car riders were going from Delhi towards Rajasthan. The police have taken possession of the bus and the damaged vehicle and started investigating the matter.
