With Thaai Kizhavi, I set the bar for actresses

“Age is no bar. I know how the industry operates. I took a choice to be in control of my career. I told myself, ‘I will take the decisions’ at the start of my career.”

The actor then pointed at some of the other actresses in the audience, including Simran, Priyamani, and Varalaxmi and told them not to be disappointed when opportunities do not come their way. “When something crosses you and does not come to you, don’t ever feel bad. Let it go because there is something bigger in store for you.”

Radikaa Sarathkumar also suggested that Simran has told her about wanting better roles in Tamil cinema. “I know Simran will tell me, ‘Ma’am, I should get better roles.’ You don’t have to worry Simran, it will come to you. You are here to stay. And we are all here to say, ‘Never give up that space,'” Radikaa said.

The actor expressed her pride at seeing big banners for her film Thaai Kizhavi that feature her character as well. “I look at the banners and tell myself, ‘That is my space, and I conquered it.'”
