Dhanbad: A case of molestation of a girl has come to light in the third AC bogie of Ranchi-Bhagalpur Vananchal Express. The incident occurred at 11.30 pm on Sunday night, when the train was about to reach Dhanbad station. The victim told that she had boarded the train from Ranchi to Bhagalpur. A young man came and sat on the berth next to him. At night she slept on the middle berth. Suddenly she woke up and the young man was leaning towards her face and trying to hold her.

As soon as the girl woke up, the accused jumped from the slowed down train onto platform number 5 and ran away. The girl immediately complained on the helpline. Despite the train stopping at Dhanbad for 15 minutes, no security personnel came. When the train reached Asansol after one and a half hour, an RPF jawan came and inquired and went away. She reached Bhagalpur in the morning.

The victim girl told that the railway kept calling and asking questions throughout the day. He told the Railways that the age of the accused would be around 30 years. The young man was wearing a yellow T-shirt and blue jeans pants. He was carrying a heavy bag. On the other hand, more than 15 hours after the incident, the security forces remembered filing an FIR. After which the victim was asked to complain to Bhagalpur Railway Police. After the FIR is registered, it will be sent to Dhanbad Railway Police.
