India Nepal border closed for three days, know the reason
New Delhi. India has closed the borders of its neighboring country for 72 hours. The Indian government has taken this step because elections are to be held in Nepal on March 5. The border of India and Nepal has been closed just 72 hours before the elections. Rule to close the border between the two countries during elections. This rule has been made so that when elections are held in both the countries, anarchists should not create obstacles in it.

Armed Police Force spokesperson Deputy Inspector General Bishnu Prasad Bhatta said that only essential items will cross the border from India. Cross-border movement of people and goods was stopped from Monday midnight. Now this border will open after 72 hours at 12 midnight on Thursday. The Armed Police Force has been entrusted with the task of ensuring border security. He also said that the borders have not been closed for foreign citizens. After checking the documents, they will be taken to their destination. The decision to close all border points with India has been taken under the Integrated Security Plan 2025 for the elections. The local administration in the border districts of Nepal has also told the people that the India-Nepal border will remain closed for 72 hours.
