Easy ways to marinate chicken in Ramadan

If you are a working woman, it can be challenging to juggle office and home responsibilities as well as preparing for Iftar during Ramadan. After fasting all day, it seems difficult to spend time in the kitchen. To solve this problem, we are telling you four best methods of chicken marination. You can prepare these at the time of Sehri and keep them in the fridge and cook them quickly after returning from office. The best part is that you can store these marinades for up to a week.

Afghani Chicken Marination (Creamy Taste)

Material: 1 kg boneless chicken, 1 cup cream, 1 cup curd, 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste.

Spices: 3-4 cubes melted butter, 2-3 cheese cubes (mashed), 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala and green coriander.

Method: Mix all the ingredients and mix well with the chicken.

Zafrani Chicken Marination (Shahi Style)

Material: 1 kg boneless chicken, 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 cup curd, 1 cup fresh cream.

Special Paste: Paste of 2 fried onions and 10 soaked cashew nuts, milk with saffron.

Spices: Salt, coriander powder, red chilli, turmeric, cumin powder, garam masala and chaat masala (1 teaspoon each).

Method: Mix all the ingredients and marinate the chicken.


Hariyali Chicken Marination (Spicy and Fresh)

Material: 1 kg boneless chicken, 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 cup curd.

Spices: Salt, black pepper, coriander powder, black salt, chaat masala, turmeric, red chilli, cumin powder and garam masala.

Paste: Make a paste by grinding green coriander, mint and 3-5 green chillies.

Method: Mix the paste and spices well in the chicken.

Peri-Peri Chicken Marination (Spicy and Tangy)

Material: 1 kg boneless chicken, 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp each soya sauce, vinegar and tomato sauce.

Spices: Chili flakes, red chili powder, peri-peri masala, black pepper and salt.

Paste: Grind together 1 red capsicum, 1 onion and 2-3 dry red chillies.

Method: Mix this paste and sauce in the chicken and keep it aside.
