Became world number-1 leader on YouTube
New Delhi, March 3, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set another unprecedented milestone in the digital world. PM Modi’s official YouTube channel has crossed the mark of 3 crore (30 million) subscribers. With this he has become the world’s most followed politician on YouTube. In the global ranking, PM Modi has achieved the top position by defeating other big-time leaders of the world.
At the global level, the popularity of PM Modi is much higher than that of other leaders. Second in the ranking is former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, whose number of subscribers is around 66 lakh (6.6 million), which is only one-fourth of that of PM Modi. If compared with American leader Donald Trump, PM Modi’s subscribers are more than seven times his number.
Even within India, PM Modi’s dominance in the matter of digital access is clearly visible. In terms of number of subscribers, PM Modi’s channel has almost three times more subscribers than Rahul Gandhi’s channel. At the same time, PM Modi has four times more subscribers than the official channels of both the Aadmi Party and the Indian National Congress.
Along with YouTube, PM Modi has also created history on Instagram. He has become the first politician in the world to cross the mark of 10 crore (100 million) followers on Instagram. Since joining Instagram in 2014, his account has proven to be the most active and popular among world leaders in the last decade.
PM Modi’s followers on Instagram are more than double that of Donald Trump. Even if the total followers of the top five leaders of the world are taken together, it is still less than the followers of PM Modi alone. This achievement underlines the growing influence of PM Modi in the field of digital communication and his direct connect with the public.
