Will North India heat up on Holi or will the weather change? Know the latest updates from Delhi-UP to Rajasthan
New Delhi. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has clarified the situation regarding whether Lord Indra will be kind this time on the festival of colors Holi or whether the sun will be harsh. This time, Holi will be celebrated amidst completely clear and dry weather in most parts of North India. However, the rise in temperature from Delhi to Rajasthan is ready to make you sweat. While the afternoon sun will shine in the capital, there is a possibility of heat wave like feeling in Rajasthan.
Delhi-NCR: Sunny and strong winds guard
According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, the sky will be completely clear in Delhi on the day of Holi. The maximum temperature here is likely to be between 32 to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 15 to 16 degrees Celsius. There will be a feeling of heat due to the strong sunlight in the afternoon, but the relief is that the north-westerly winds blowing at a speed of 15-20 km/hour will not cause humidity.
UP and Punjab: Pleasant in the morning, hot in the afternoon
In Uttar Pradesh also, the weather conditions are going to be harsh on March 4. Here the day temperature can go up to 30 to 34 degrees Celsius, while the nights will remain cool with 13 to 16 degrees. At the same time, the weather will be slightly mild in Punjab, where the maximum temperature is expected to be around 28-30 degrees. The weather here in the morning and evening will remain pleasant for travelers and hooligans.
Temperature crosses 37 in Rajasthan, humidity will trouble Bengal
The maximum heat can be seen in Rajasthan on the day of Holi. The maximum temperature in Marudhara is expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius, which may cause heat wave-like feeling in the afternoon. On the other hand, the maximum temperature in West Bengal will be between 31-33 degrees, but slight humidity in the Gangetic regions may bother people.
Chances of rain in the mountains, drizzle in the south also
While the heat is increasing in the plains, the weather will be slightly different in the mountains. There is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir between March 4 and 7. Talking about South India, sporadic drizzle in some parts of Kerala can spoil the colors of Holi.
Mercury will rise by 4 degrees in the next 4 days
According to meteorologists, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by 3 to 4 degrees in North Madhya Pradesh including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan within the next 3-4 days. It is clear that this time the festival of Holi will be celebrated amidst strong sunlight and increasing heat in most of the states of North and Central India.
