Erling Haaland injury update: Pep Guardiola says Manchester City forward ‘is feeling better’

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed on Tuesday that his star forward Erling Haaland is ‘feeling better,’ ahead of a Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

Haaland missed City’s Premier League fixture against Leeds United on Saturday, after suffering a minor knock in training.

“He [Haaland] feels much better. Yesterday we didn’t train. Today we are, so we will decide after that. Nico [O’Reilly] is the same, we will]decide after training,” said Guardiola at a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

The Norwegian striker picked up the issue during a recent training session, prompting the club’s medical staff to advise caution as he was ‘not fully fit’ resulting in him dropped from City’s matchday squad against Leeds.

Haaland has been in prolific form this season and currently leads the Premier League scoring charts with 22 goals.
