Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer declared ‘ICC Men’s Player of the Month’ Gujarati
India batsman Shreyas Iyer has been named the ‘ICC Men’s Player of the Month’ for March after topping India’s run-scoring charts and playing a key role in the final stages of their historic ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 win. Iyer has received this honor by defeating New Zealand pair Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra. This honor symbolizes the consecutive wins by Indian players in the ICC monthly awards series, Shubhman Gile also won the same honor in February.
Iyer had said, ‘I feel happy to be selected as the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March. This honor is very special, especially in a month when we won the ICC Champions Trophy. This is a moment that I will remember forever.

Iyer was the leading run-scorer with 243 runs and played a key role in India’s Champions Trophy win. Iyer was a key player for India in the last three matches of the Champions Trophy, scoring 172 runs at an average of 57.33 and leading India to its third historic win in the history of the tournament.
The top-order batsman had earlier played a match-winning inning of 79 runs in 98 balls, helping India finish on top in their final group-stage match against New Zealand. After leading India to victory with a crucial 45-run partnership with Virat Kohli in the challenging semi-final against Australia, he once again scored successful runs in the thrilling final against New Zealand with a controlled innings of 48 runs in 62 balls, helping India win by four wickets.
