What did CM Omar Abdullah say?

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, ‘It is up to the people of Iran to decide what kind of government will be formed in Iran. No international law permits regime change through external bombing. First of all, given the brutal assassination of Iran’s supreme leader and his family, what law allowed the US or Israel to do so? First of all, I express my condolences to the people of Iran and condemn that attack.

He further said that I appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir not to let the situation worsen. Some people are trying to spoil the atmosphere, I request the religious leaders to express their grief but not take the law into their hands, we are in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs. Our students and others present in Iran have been evacuated to safe places. As some students are not being allowed to leave the country, I would urge them to follow the guidelines issued by the Embassy.
