Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board has announced recruitment (GSSSB Recruitment 2026) for Additional Assistant Engineer (Civil) posts under Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpasar Department and Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board. The number of vacant posts is 974. A total of 824 posts are vacant in Narmada, Water Supply and Kalpsar Department and 150 posts are vacant in Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board. All candidates are advised to read the official notification before filling the form. Information from eligibility to selection process is available in it. The probation time will be 5 years. The application fee is Rs 500. SC/ST, Women and PWD candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 400.

Who can apply?

Candidates must have a Civil Engineering degree to apply. The maximum age limit for all categories together is 45 years. This also includes age relaxation for government reserved category candidates. The minimum age limit for unreserved category candidates is 18 years and maximum 33 years.

Selection Process and Salary

The selection process will consist of two stages. Written examination will be conducted in the first phase. Only selected candidates will attend the interview. The written examination will be divided into two parts – Part A and Part B. A total of 60 questions will be asked in Part-A. Whereas the number of questions in Part-B will be 150. A total of 210 questions will be asked. There will be a provision of 1/4 negative marking for each wrong answer. Candidates will be given 3 hours time for both the parts combined. After appointment, you will get a monthly salary of Rs 49,600. Apart from this, benefits of gratuity, dearness allowance, HRA and many other facilities will also be available.
