Will BJP defeat Mamata Banerjee by batting in power play? The plan is different from 2021

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had worked hard in the elections of West Bengal in the year 2021. He benefited from this but this benefit was not enough to oust Mamata Banerjee from power. In that election, BJP made its strong place and emerged as the main opposition in West Bengal. BJP won a moral victory by defeating Mamata Banerjee from her own seat but the power remained with Trinamool Congress. In the last elections, BJP had worked hard for a long time and it seemed that its game was spoiled at the last moment. Perhaps this is the reason why this time BJP has finally planned to work harder and has now started traveling in the state about one and a half month before the elections.

By the time Bihar elections were taking place, the BJP cadre was looking completely lethargic in West Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari was the only one who was continuously raising his voice as the leader of opposition from the assembly to the streets. When 2025 was coming to an end, suddenly Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached West Bengal and met the old leaders and activated them.

Will there be fierce batting in the last minute?

Now BJP is finally starting the campaign in West Bengal so that the atmosphere remains intact till the time of voting. Mamata Banerjee has contested the elections long before BJP and Abhishek Banerjee is traveling across the state. At the same time, the Parivartan Yatras that BJP has now started will end on March 15 and then Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a big rally in Kolkata in favor of BJP. It is expected that this rally will take place at a time when nominations are being filed for at least the first phase of elections in West Bengal. Through this, BJP is trying to maintain the atmosphere and its benefits will also be visible in the voting in its favor.

Through these rallies, BJP wants to reach all the 294 assembly seats and people from every assembly should also be taken to PM Modi’s rally. In these rallies, BJP is vocally fielding local leaders along with its top leaders to raise the issue of illegal infiltrators, employment, corruption and law and order. BJP wants that like last time, Mamata Banerjee should not dismiss him by calling him an outsider. This is the reason why BJP is giving more preference to its local faces.

Even on the rally platforms of Nitin Naveen and Home Minister Amit Shah, West Bengal BJP leaders were given priority. Similarly, Shantanu Thakur, Locket Chatterjee and Suvendu Adhikari were present with Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Sukanta Majumdar was present on his stage in Amit Shah’s rally, Dilip Ghosh in Nitin Naveen’s rally, Samik Bhattacharya in Rajnath Singh’s rally and Mithun Chakraborty was present in Devendra Fadnavis’s rally.

There was loss in the long elections

Last time, assembly elections in West Bengal were held in a total of 8 phases. Voting was held on 27 March, 1 April, 6 April, 10 April, 17 April, 22 April, 26 April and 29 April and the results of the assembly elections were declared on 2 May. Last time the notification for the first phase was released on March 2 and the last date for filling the forms was March 9. On May 5, Mamata Banerjee also took oath as Chief Minister. Accordingly, this time the elections will be held with a slight delay. In such a situation, it is also possible that the elections may be held in a shorter phase.

Last time, the last three phases of elections were affected by Corona and the BJP cadre was devastated due to the prolonged elections. Mamta Banerjee had kept her cadre active till the end and she also got benefit from it. This time there are speculations that if the elections start late then they can be conducted in fewer phases.
