Holi turned red with blood on the night of Holika Dahan, son killed his father with an axe.

On the night of Holika Dahan, a sensational incident came to light in Ambikapur city of Chhattisgarh, which shocked the entire area. In Beherapara locality of Municipal Corporation area, a young man allegedly killed his own father with an axe. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused son the same night.

Father reprimands son

According to the information received, about 50 year old Paras Kerketta, a resident of Beherapara, lived in a separate house. Leaving two rented houses in his house, his son Prabhat Kerketta alias Leda lived there. It is being told that Prabhat reached his father’s house under the influence of alcohol at around 11 pm on Tuesday night. Seeing his condition the father expressed displeasure and reprimanded him. An argument started between the two regarding this matter.

Within no time the dispute took a violent turn. According to preliminary investigation and information received from nearby people, Prabhat, in anger, picked up an ax kept in the house and attacked his father on the head. Paras Kerketta died on the spot due to serious injuries. After the incident, the accused tried to hide the body in a small water tank near the house.

The accused fell asleep after eating biryani

The surprising thing is that after committing the incident, Prabhat went to a nearby shop, where he ate biryani and then returned to his home and slept covered with a blanket. Meanwhile, when the people nearby came to know about the incident, they informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and took the accused into custody.

During interrogation, Prabhat admitted that he took this step out of anger. This incident took place under Manipur police station located in Transport Nagar area. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and detailed investigation of the case is going on. Officials say that family dispute and intoxication seem to be the main reasons for this heinous crime. There is an atmosphere of mourning and anger in the entire area regarding this incident.
