But there’s some hope for fans. Shortly ahead of Hijack’s Season 2 premiere, creator and executive producer Jim Field Smith revealed that he is open to bringing back Hijack for a new season. Speaking with TV Insiderhe said, “All I can do when I’m telling a story is to focus on telling that story to the best of my ability. That’s what I’m continuing to do right now with Season 2, and we’re looking forward to getting it out there.”
Field added, “And look, could Sam Nelson find himself having another of the worst days of his life? I’m sure he could. He seems to be a guy that stumbles into bad luck, and I love working with Idris, and whether it was more of this show or something else, I’m sure the collaboration will lead to more.”
