The US has issued a warning (US Middle East Travel Advisory 2026) for its citizens living in several countries in the Middle East, which are currently affected by the US Israel-Iran dispute, and has appealed to them to immediately leave the commercial routes due to “serious security risks”.

The State Department asked Americans in Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, iranOman, Iraq, Qatar, Israel, the West Bank, and appealed to leave Gaza, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

The State Department has set up 24/7 lines for people who need assistance with authorization to leave the country by commercial means, and urged Americans to call +1-202-501-4444 (from abroad) and +1-888-407-4747 (from the US and Canada).

Today Tuesday, officials ordered non-emergency government staff and their families to leave Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq and Jordan (US Middle East Travel Advisory 2026).

He also closed several diplomatic missions in the region as tensions with Iran increased. The US mission in Saudi Arabia was closed after a drone attack on March 3, and Americans in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dhahran were told to remain there.

The US Embassy in Kuwait announced it would remain closed until further notice. All regular and emergency consular appointments have been cancelled. In Israel, the US Embassy said it could not expel or directly assist Americans who wanted to leave (US Middle East Travel Advisory 2026).

He advised citizens to make arrangements for their own security. These steps have been taken at a time when the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran is spreading across the region. Due to this, security has been increased at US diplomatic places and non-essential travel to military bases has been banned.
