The murder of businessman Raja Raghuvanshi of Indore, Madhya Pradesh had shocked the entire country. His wife Sonam has been made the main accused in this case. On the occasion of Holika Dahan, Raja’s family expressed their grief and anger by burning the sarees worn in Sonam’s wedding. Raja’s mother said that he wants to erase every memory of Sonam from his home as he believes that she took away the happiness of their family.
According to the information, in the year 2025, Raja Raghuvanshi went on honeymoon to Meghalaya with his wife Sonam. He was murdered there. Four people including Sonam have been arrested in this case. Hearing is going on in the case and Sonam has been considered the main accused in this case.

Raja’s mother Uma Raghuvanshi still gets emotional remembering her son. He told that the festival of Holika Dahan gives the message of victory of good over evil and for him Sonam is that evil. The family especially set fire to the saree that Sonam had worn during the wedding ceremony. They believe that burning these bitter memories will give them some degree of mental peace.
Memories and silence of last Holi
The family recalled that the king was very happy on the last Holi. Sonam herself had called him to apply color and there was a celebratory atmosphere in the entire house. No one had even dreamed that within a year the daughter-in-law would go to jail on charges of murder. During Holika Dahan, the family also prayed for the peace of the king’s soul.

This is not the first time the family has lodged its protest. Earlier also on the occasion of Dussehra, the family had made an effigy of Sonam and burnt it. Mother Uma says that she has full faith in the law that Sonam will get severe punishment but they want to completely erase every memory of her from their house.

What was the whole matter?
This matter is of May 2025. Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi had gone to Meghalaya with his wife Sonam for honeymoon, where he was murdered. Investigation revealed that this murder was a well-planned conspiracy. According to the police, Sonam, along with her acquaintance Raj Kushwaha and three other people (Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi) had planned to eliminate Raja from the way.
On the basis of call records and travel history, the police had revealed that all these accused were present in Meghalaya at the time of the incident. At present, all the five accused in this case are in jail and the case is going on in the court.
