New Delhi: Today, the holy festival of colors, Holi, is being celebrated with full enthusiasm and excitement across the country. Since morning, splashes of colors and the smell of gulal were seen in cities, towns and villages. Faces drenched in laughter, happiness and colors everywhere made the festival lively.

From political circles to common people, everyone is wishing Happy Holi. Many prominent leaders including the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Chief Minister of Delhi have sent congratulatory messages to the countrymen on this occasion. Colorful glimpses of Holi are also visible on social media.

Vibrancy of colors in cities and villages

Since morning, people were seen enjoying the festival by applying gulal to each other and spraying colors with water cannons. Processions were taken out with drums at many places and special prayers were organized in temples.

On the occasion of Holi, people were seen hugging and congratulating each other while distributing sweets. In the traditional style, the echo of “Don’t feel bad, it’s Holi” was heard everywhere.

Most enthusiasm among children and youth

This time too, maximum enthusiasm for Holi was seen among children and youth. Since morning, youth immersed in colors were seen celebrating in the streets and localities.

The purchase of colours, Pichkari and Gujiya was at its peak in the markets. Even before the festival, a huge crowd was seen at the shops, the effect of which was clearly visible today.

In many states, the administration has made special arrangements to maintain peace and security. Additional police forces have been deployed in sensitive areas.

People have been appealed to use safe and eco-friendly colours, so that the festival remains happy as well as safe.

Holi celebration is also prevalent on social media platforms. People are sharing their colorful photos and videos and wishing each other.
