Haryana: Good news for these farmers in Haryana, the government made this announcement

Haryana News: There is a relief news for the Scheduled Caste farmers of Haryana. The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department has now extended the last date for submission of permit related documents before releasing the grant amount given on tractors to March 8. This decision has been taken through a letter issued by the Director General’s office, so that eligible farmers can complete the formalities on time.

A letter in this regard has been sent by the Directorate General office located in Panchkula to all the Deputy Commissioners, Deputy Agriculture Directors and Assistant Agriculture Engineers. Under the scheme, 660 Scheduled Caste farmers will be given subsidy on purchasing tractors. Draws have already been held for this.

According to the scheme, farmers will be given a maximum grant of Rs 3 lakh or 50 percent of the total purchase amount (whichever is less). The objective of the government is to encourage economically weaker farmers to take up agricultural mechanization, so that their productivity and income can increase.

Under the grant process, the permit documents will be examined and approved by the Deputy Agriculture Director by March 6. Details of the purchased tractor will have to be uploaded on the portal by March 10 and it will be mandatory to get the bill approved by March 11. After this, physical verification will be done on March 16. After completion of verification on March 18, the grant amount will be approved through the portal and sent to the accounts of the farmers.
