Iran-Israel war: Americans advised not to visit embassy in Saudi Arabia
Dubai. The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia acknowledged the Iranian drone strike on Tuesday and urged Americans to stay away from the embassy for the time being. The embassy said in a post on ‘X’ that people should not come to the embassy until further notice due to the attack on the embassy.
It said that those who were given time to come to the embassy for visa related work, have now been asked not to come. Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry had said earlier on Tuesday that the embassy had been attacked by two drones.
Meanwhile, the US State Department has ordered the evacuation of its employees and their families in Bahrain and Jordan who are not immediately needed there. The ministry said in an online announcement that the decision was taken due to “security risks.” The State Department has also urged Americans living in West Asia to leave the country in view of the ongoing war with Iran.
