“Tips for taking wickets from Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling technique”, player Marco Jensen’s big revelation…

South African fast bowler Marco Jensen recently revealed how he tried to copy the bowling technique of India’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah after watching the replays of the first Test match in Kolkata last year. Jensen said that after watching the bowling replays of Bumrah, he realized that the ball was moving away from the wicket with fast and sharp movement on the pitch.

“In the first Test match in Kolkata, I watched Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling and watched the replays of his wickets. I saw he had a lot of revs on his hands and the ball. I thought why don’t I do the same thing he is doing,” Jensen said.

Jensen said that he adopted Bumrah’s bowling technique in the warm-up match of the ongoing T20 World Cup and realized that the ball was actually moving faster away from the wicket. “In the warm-up, I did the same thing, and it felt like something was happening. The ball was actually moving faster, and it was like a very sharp movement. Then I tried it in the match and took two quick wickets,” he said.

Jensen said this ahead of the semi-final match between the Proteas and New Zealand, which was played at the same venue where he copied Bumrah’s technique – Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.

Jensen’s performance so far in the T20 World Cup has been excellent. He has taken 11 wickets in five matches at an average of 16.72.
