News India Live, Digital Desk: 7 Rajya Sabha seats are falling vacant from Maharashtra, whose tenure is ending in April 2026. On the basis of numerical strength in the Assembly, BJP can easily win its 4 candidates. 4 declared candidates of BJP (The Nominees)1. Vinod Tawde: Growing stature in the organization The decision to send Vinod Tawde to Rajya Sabha is being considered as a reward for his dedication towards the organization. He is currently in-charge of Bihar and is playing an important role for the party at the national level.2. Ramdas Athawale: Strength of alliance Ramdas Athawale’s tenure was ending in April. By making him a candidate again, BJP has tried to give a positive message towards the Dalit community and its alliance ‘Mahayuti’.3. Social Engineering (Shiv Sena) and Ajit Pawar (NCP): There is a possibility of getting 1 seat each. There is talk of Parth Pawar filing nomination from NCP. Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA): The opposition has the chances of winning only 1 seat. There is currently suspense over the future of Sharad Pawar or Priyanka Chaturvedi.
