New Delhi: The 30th match of IPL is to be played today between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings. This match has been organized at Lucknow’s home ground Atal Bihari Bajpayee Stadium. Chennai Super Kings, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, who are at the last position in the points table with five consecutive losses, will try to make a comeback against Lucknow Super Giants. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is leading the team for the rest of the season in place of injured Rituraj Gaikwad. Two matches were played in IPL on Sunday.. in which the first match was held between Rajasthan Royals and Bengaluru.. in which RCB won the match by 9 wickets.. while the second match was played between Delhi and Mumbai.. Mumbai Indians registered victory by defeating Delhi Capitals by 12 runs at their own home ground, Arun Jaitley Stadium. With this victory, Mumbai Indians have become the first team to defeat Delhi Capitals in this season. Delhi, which had won all four matches played earlier, had to face its first defeat of the season in this match. So, the IPL match will start today at 7:30 pm between Lucknow and Chennai.

Difficult situation for Chennai

CSK batsmen could not perform well and their batsmen failed against KKR. Openers Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway are two good batsmen, but expecting aggressive batting from the first ball is against their playing style. Rahul Tripathi, who came in at number three in place of Gaekwad, will be under pressure to perform well. The team also needs a good performance from experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Shivam Dubey needs more support on the power-hitting front and the best person to do that is Dhoni himself.

Will CSK field an extra batsman?

Chennai would have a good option to field Mathisha Pathirana as an impact player. CSK’s batting has not been good and in such a situation they may think of playing with additional batsmen. Lucknow Super Giants’ top order batsman Nicholas Pooran is in excellent form and Pathira can pose a challenge for him. Pathirana has dismissed Pooran four times in five innings.

Will Rishabh Pant play as an opening batsman again?

Lucknow opener Mitchell Marsh did not play against Gujarat Titans. During the toss, Rishabh Pant had said that Marsh’s daughter is ill due to which he is not available. It is not yet decided whether he will be able to make a comeback against CSK or not, but if Marsh returns to the team, he will replace Himmat Singh. Due to the absence of Mitchell Marsh in the top order on Saturday, Rishabh Pant got the opportunity to open the innings with the in-form Aiden Markram. Pant has performed well at the top of the order.
