India sets up special control room amid increasing conflict in Middle East
New Delhi, March 4. India has set up a special control room in New Delhi to help its citizens amid the increasing US-Israeli attacks on Iran. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) gave this information on Wednesday.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on social media platform ‘X’, ‘In view of the current situation in West Asia and the Gulf region, the Ministry of External Affairs has set up a special control room. This control room will operate from 9 am to 9 pm (Indian time). Citizens can contact through toll-free number 1800118797 or landline numbers +91-11-23012113, +91-11-23014104, +91-11-23017905.

It is noteworthy that America and Israel have taken joint action against Iran. Many prominent leaders and military officers, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have been killed in these attacks. After this, Iran retaliated by targeting American bases in many countries, including Bahrain and Kuwait to the United Arab Emirates.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his concern over the situation in the Middle East through telephone conversations with top leaders from many countries. He reiterated that India will continue to work with all countries in the region to ensure the security of its citizens.
PM Modi said, ‘India’s stand is clear on the many ongoing tensions across the world. We have always called for maintaining peace and stability and when two democracies stand together, the voice for peace becomes stronger.
