Importance of tongue care
There are five senses in our body: eyes, ears, nose, skin and tongue. It is necessary to take care of their proper care and cleanliness so that we can remain healthy. The tongue, also known as Rasna, is an important organ of our body, which we use to detect taste.
There are many sensitive areas on the tongue, which help in detecting the taste of something when it comes in contact with it. According to Ayurveda, we can get information about our health from the color and moisture of the tongue. It is very important to clean the tongue after eating dinner, because ignoring it can cause many health problems.
Side effects of not cleaning the tongue
1. Due to not cleaning the tongue, white crust starts accumulating, which can cause ulcers in the mouth.
2. This white crust causes bad odor in the mouth and promotes harmful bacteria.
3. Not cleaning the tongue after dinner can have a negative impact on the teeth, causing the teeth to become weak.
4. Not cleaning the tongue for a long time affects the taste fibers, making it difficult to experience different tastes.
5. Lines or hardness on the tongue can cause Vata-Pitta dosha, which can cause problems like flatulence, pain, acidity and constipation.
6. If the tongue feels hot or has red patches on it, it may be a sign of Vata, Pitta and Kapha diseases, which can cause sore throat, joint pain, headache and other problems.
