Seat sharing final between DMK-Congress, who will contest on how many seats? know

The ruling coalition in Tamil Nadu has finalized the seat sharing formula before the 2026 assembly elections. Under the agreement between Chief Minister MK Stalin’s Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Congress, the Congress will contest elections on 28 assembly seats. Apart from this, Congress will also be given one seat in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

Who has how many seats in Rajya Sabha elections?

A total of 4 seats have come to DMK’s account in the Rajya Sabha elections to be held on 16 March 2026. Out of these, it has been decided to give one seat to Congress and one seat to National Progressive Dravida Kazhagam (NPK). DMK has announced the names of its candidates for the remaining 2 seats. Tiruchi Siva and J. for these seats. Constantine Ravindran has been made the candidate.

Who will contest elections on how many seats?

There are a total of 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. Congress will field candidates on 28 of these seats, while DMK and its allies will contest the remaining seats.
