Singapore coffee shop named Asia’s best for second year
Apartment Coffee keeps its menu intentionally concise, offering a select range of coffee and tea to highlight the meticulous care behind its sourcing, roasting, and brewing, according to British magazine Time Out.
The staff personally visit origin countries, from Colombia to Rwanda, as part of a selection process allowing customers to trace each cup back to its source, the magazine added.
The shop was founded in 2018 by 34-year-old Yeo Qing He, who also won the Singapore Brewers Cup Champion title that same year, according to Channel News Asia. It specializes in artisan coffee roasted with beans sourced from around the world.
The new branch at 15-9 Jalan Riang is open only on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the main shop at 139 Selegie Road is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Globally, Onyx Coffee LAB in the U.S. claimed the top spot while Tim Wendelboe in Norway ranked second.
