IPL 2025: RCB becomes the team that has lost the most matches at home ground Gujarati

Delhi Capitals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2025. This was RCB’s second defeat this season. Whereas, the Bengaluru team has lost its second consecutive match at its home ground Chinnaswamy. So far, RCB has played five matches this season and the team has won three. All three grounds belonged to the opposing team. Whereas, RCB has lost both the matches at home. With this, Royal Challengers Bangalore has become the team that has lost the most matches at its home ground in the league. Till now, they have lost 45 matches in Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is the highest. After this comes the turn of Delhi Capitals. Capitals have lost 44 matches at their home ground, Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Batting first, RCB scored 163 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave a good start to the team. Both of them made an opening partnership of 61 runs in 23 balls. However, Salt was run out and the partnership was broken. After this, RCB’s batting faltered. Solte scored 37 runs in 17 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. Kohli played an inning of 22 runs in 14 balls with the help of one four and two sixes. With this, he has become the first player in the history of IPL to hit 1000 boundaries. Delhi players have also made some unwanted records in their name. Mitchell Starc, playing for Delhi Capitals, gave 30 runs in the third over of RCB’s innings. Of these, five runs were extra. That means Starke had given 25 runs. This was not the first incident in IPL in which Starc gave away runs in an over. Earlier in 2024, when Starc was playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, he also gave 25 runs in an over. Meanwhile, Delhi captain Akshar Patel gave 52 runs in his four-over spell but did not take any wicket. This is the most expensive bowling spell of Akshar in IPL. In this matter he had equaled his record of 2017. In 2017, against Kolkata, Akshar gave 52 runs in four overs and took no wicket.
