Finn Allen scored the fastest century in T20 World Cup

New Delhi.New Zealand’s explosive batsman Finn Allen created history by scoring a century in just 33 balls against South Africa in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. This is the fastest century in the history of T20 World Cup.

Allen played an unbeaten inning of 100 runs and helped New Zealand achieve the target of 170 runs in just 12.5 overs. In his stormy innings he hit 10 fours and eight sixes.

Earlier, the record for the fastest century in the T20 World Cup was in the name of Chris Gayle of West Indies, who scored a century in 47 balls against England in 2016.

Finn Allen’s 33-ball century is also the joint third fastest century in the history of T20 International cricket. She equaled the records of Jan Nicole Lofty-Eaton of Namibia and Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe. The fastest century in T20 international cricket is in the name of Sahil Chauhan of Estonia, who achieved this feat in 27 balls.
