The child has been badly burnt in the incident. He was immediately admitted to the nearest hospital where his treatment is continuing under the supervision of specialist doctors. According to sources, the child was playing with a water gun in view of Holi. His grandmother stopped him with a water gun but the child was happily enjoying Holi. Enraged by this, his grandmother poured boiling water on him. After social worker Hitesh Bansod informed the administration about the incident, the District Child Protection Cell immediately took cognizance.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the process of registering the case was started in the concerned police station. Under the guidance of the District Women and Child Development Department, the team of the Child Protection Cell reached the hospital and took information about the treatment of the child and gave instructions to ensure his safety.

During this time, under the guidance of District Women and Child Development Officer Sunil Mesre, District Child Protection Officer Mustaq Pathan, Protection Officers Sadhna Thombare, Aniket Bhivgade and Meenakshi Dhadade reached the hospital and took stock of the situation.

Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated

The administration has made it clear that any kind of negligence in the treatment of the child will not be tolerated.
