New Zealand beats South Africa by 9 wickets, explosive entry in the final

Tezzbuzz Desk- In the match played at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the New Zealand national cricket team gave a spectacular performance and made it to the final by defeating the South Africa national cricket team by 9 wickets. The hero of this victory was Finn Allen, who batted stormily and scored a century in just 33 balls and made the match one-sided. New Zealand achieved the target of 170 runs in just 12.5 overs.

Finn Allen’s innings in this match was so aggressive that the South African bowlers looked completely helpless. Allen adopted an aggressive approach from the beginning and hit fours and sixes all around the ground. His historic inning ended the match before it could get exciting and gave New Zealand an easy win.

Earlier, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner’s team displayed brilliant bowling and restricted South Africa to 169 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Spin bowler Rachin Ravindra took two wickets for 29 runs in four overs, while off-spinner Cole McConchie shocked the African team’s top order by taking two important wickets in the same over.

For South Africa, Marco Jansen batted brilliantly and scored unbeaten 55 runs in 30 balls and took the team to a respectable score. He hit five sixes in his innings and delivered many shots to the audience. Apart from him, Tristan Stubbs tried to handle the innings by scoring 29 runs in 24 balls.

However, the African team did not have a good start and by the 11th over the team had lost five wickets for 77 runs. After this, Yansen and Stubbs made a partnership of 73 runs for the sixth wicket, taking the team to 169 runs. During this, Dewald Brevis also played an inning of 34 runs in 27 balls, but he could not convert his good start into a big innings.

Chasing the target of 170 runs, New Zealand’s openers Finn Allen and Tim Seifert gave an explosive start. There was a partnership of 117 runs between the two in 9 overs for the first wicket. Seifert scored 58 runs in 33 balls, while Allen completed his first half-century in just 19 balls and then reached his century at a faster pace.

With this spectacular victory of New Zealand, the team has once again made it to the finals after 2021. Now if the India national cricket team beats the England cricket team on Thursday, then the final may see another exciting match between India and New Zealand like last year’s Champions Trophy final.
