Nepal: Interim Government Prime Minister Sushila Karki casts her vote at Faimalchuli polling station.

Kathmandu. Nepal’s interim government Prime Minister Sushila Karki has cast her vote in the House of Representatives elections. Karki went to Dhapasi Lower Secondary School Faimalchuli polling station located at Dhapasi under Kathmandu Constituency-5 and cast his vote.

After voting, Prime Minister Karki appealed to the voters across the country to exercise their franchise compulsorily. He said that in a democracy, public vote is the biggest power and every citizen should exercise his right by participating in elections. The Prime Minister said that every vote of every voter plays an important role in determining the future of the country. Therefore, he urged all citizens to go to the polling stations without any fear or pressure and choose the candidate of their choice.

He also said that active participation of the public is extremely important to strengthen the democratic system. Higher voter turnout provides broader public support and legitimacy to the government, which helps establish stable and accountable governance in the country.

This election in Nepal is being considered very important after the recent political developments and activism of the youth. In such a situation, the Prime Minister expressed hope that citizens will participate in the voting process in a peaceful and enthusiastic manner, which will further strengthen democracy.
