Manish Sisodia attacks Center on America-Iran war, says – Why is the government silent?
Tezzbuzz Desk – Now India’s politics has also heated up due to the increasing tension between America and Iran in the Middle East. Aam Aadmi Party has raised many questions on this issue, targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Senior party leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia said that the Prime Minister’s silence on this entire issue is a matter of concern for the country.
Questions raised on PM Modi’s silence
Manish Sisodia said that despite the ongoing war between America and Iran, no clear response has come from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Raising the question, he said that the country wants to know why the Prime Minister is silent on this issue.
According to Sisodia, America had been preparing for this war for many months and had already anticipated that the oil supply could be affected after the war started. Despite this, America convinced India not to take oil from Russia through a trade deal.
Was India misled?
The AAP leader said that in the trade deal with America, a condition was accepted that India would not import oil from Russia. He says that shortly after this decision, war started between America and Iran.
Raising the question, Sisodia said that now the big question before the country is whether America misled India or whether India compromised its national interests to please America.
Concern expressed on energy security
Manish Sisodia said that India imports a large part of its oil needs from abroad. In such a situation, stopping the supply of oil from one or two sources is not just a diplomatic issue, but it is directly related to the energy security of the country.
He said that if alternative sources reduce, it may affect the availability and prices of oil in the country. Therefore, such decisions affect the common people also.
