Khamenei receives final farewell at Grand Mosalla; Iran threatens Israel with attack on nuclear facility

Tehran: A wave of mourning has spread across the country after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in the US-Israeli attack. State media has informed that preparations are underway to place the body of the late Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla. The Grand Mosalla is a large prayer hall, which is used for the most important government and religious events in the city. This is part of a three-day farewell ceremony organized for the late Supreme Leader. Thousands of mourners are expected to gather in the Mosalla. The funeral process will be completed after this farewell ceremony.

Meanwhile, Iran on Thursday threatened to target Israel’s Dimona nuclear site. Iran said it would target the nuclear facility if Israel and the United States attempted to overthrow its government. This threat came after Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that any new leader Iran appoints would be a target for Israel.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military reported that Iran had once again launched a ballistic missile attack. This triggered alarm sirens in Jerusalem, central Israel, and parts of the West Bank. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) launched the missile and drone attacks under Operation True Promise 4, codenamed “Ya Hassan Ibn Ali.” The IRGC claims to have destroyed more than seven advanced Israeli and American radar systems.

According to Iran’s state broadcaster, Press TV, its missiles also evaded Israel’s THAAD defense system. The IRGC claimed to have struck several locations in Tel Aviv, including the Israeli Defense Ministry and the country’s main airport, Ben Gurion. These attacks caused sirens to sound for hours in many areas of Israel, forcing people to take shelter in bunkers. The IRGC has warned that these attacks will intensify and become more widespread in the coming days. The US says its operation has just begun, suggesting that this war may drag on longer than expected.
