England’s 22-year-old young batsman Jacob Bethel fought till the end and scored a brilliant century, but could not lead the team to victory.

Team India reached the final of T20 World Cup for the fourth time

Team India has made its place in the final of the T20 World Cup for the fourth time. Earlier, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, India had made it to the final of the first phase of T20 World Cup i.e. 2007 and won the title by defeating Pakistan. After this, Team India also reached the final of T20 World Cup 2014. Even then MS Dhoni was handling the responsibility of captaining Team India. In the final match of 2014, Team India had to face defeat against Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.

After this, last time under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India made its place in the final by defeating England in the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2024. After this, it won the T20 World Cup title for the second time by defeating South Africa in the final. Now under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team has made its place in the final of T20 World Cup 2026. Surya has high hopes from the fans that he will bring home the trophy.

The final match between India and New Zealand will be played in Ahmedabad

Now India will face New Zealand in the final match of T20 World Cup 2026. The final match of T20 World Cup 2026 between India and New Zealand will be played on 8 March. Both the teams will face each other at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. For the first time, the final match of T20 World Cup will be played in Ahmedabad Stadium. Last time the final match of ODI World Cup 2023 was played on this ground, Team India had to face defeat in that final match. The wound of that defeat is still in the minds of Team India and the fans. This time, Team India would like to forget that defeat and win the T20 World Cup title for the first time at home.
