Mumbai. Surya Brigade has made it to the final of T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating England in the semi-final match played at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. This was the second semi-final of this T20 World Cup, in which India defeated England by 7 runs. Now in the final of the tournament, India will face New Zealand, who had defeated South Africa in the first semi-final of the tournament. To win the second semi-final, India had set a record target of 254 runs to win, which the England team failed to chase.

The England team could score only 246 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. The most successful batsman from England was Jacob Baithle, who scored a brilliant century in the semi-finals. Jacob Baithal scored 105 runs in 48 balls with the help of 7 sixes. This was the first century of his T20 International career. But despite this century by Baithal, the England team remained away from victory.
Pandya is the most successful bowler
Hardik Pandya was the most successful bowler for India, taking 2 wickets for 38 runs in 4 overs. For India, 6 bowlers bowled in the semi-finals, out of which 5 were successful in taking wickets. Except Pandya, the remaining 4 bowlers took 1 wicket each.
India made the highest score of knock out

After winning the toss, England captain Harry Brook put India to bat first. Batting first, the Indian team scored 253 runs in 20 overs, which is the highest score made in the knock out of the T20 World Cup. Sanju Samson’s strong half-century played the biggest role in India reaching such a big score, which gave Team India the start on the basis of which it could reach the score of 253 runs.
Sanju Samson scored 89 runs in 42 balls at a strike rate of more than 211, which included 7 sixes. After him, Shivam Dubey scored the highest score of 43 runs in 25 balls. Hardik Pandya scored 27 runs in 12 balls. Whereas Tilak Verma scored 21 runs on 6 balls.
