West Indies coach asks for update on return from India

Sports: The ongoing war in West Asia has also affected the West Indies team. The West Indies team, which lost to the Indian team in a small match of the World Cup Super 8, is still stuck in Kolkata. Caribbean players are worried about returning home due to flight service being canceled due to the war. However, head coach Darren Sammy expressed deep concerns. He posted on the X platform that he wanted to go home.

India and West Indies face each other for a place in the semi-finals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, March 1. However, after Sanju Samson’s poor performance in that match, the West Indies team was out of the tournament. The US and Israel-Iran war meant that they could not be shipped out immediately. So.. the Caribbean players are in Kolkata since that day.

In such a situation, the team’s head coach Darren Sammy expressed his concern in a post. ‘I want to go home. Let me know when you will send us. We are in Kolkata for five days. Sammy wrote in his post, ‘Tell me today.. tomorrow.. next week.. some day.’ Neither West Indies Cricket nor the Board of Control for Cricket in India have yet responded to Sammy’s post.
