Ultraviolette Electric Motorcycle: Amidst the rapidly increasing competition in the electric two-wheeler market Ultraviolette has introduced a special plan for its new adventure-touring bike X-47. the company has Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Has launched the model, which is called “Battery Flex” The name has been given. Under this scheme, customers will no longer need to pay the full price of the bike at once. Customers can buy the Ultraviolette X-47 at a starting price of ₹1,49,000, while the battery will cost them a subscription of ₹2,499 per month.

The company says that the purpose of this model is to make buying a bike more easy and affordable. By separating the cost of the battery, the initial expense is reduced and customers can gradually repay the cost. 5 years warranty is also being given on the battery pack.

Partnership with Ecofy for finance

To take this scheme to more people, Ultraviolette has partnered with a non-banking finance company named Ecofy. Ecofy provides financing facilities specifically designed to promote climate-positive technologies and electric mobility. Through this collaboration, the company aims to enable more and more people to buy electric bikes and adopt clean mobility.

Adventure-touring style with powerful design

The new Ultraviolette X-47 has been designed keeping the adventure-touring segment in mind. The look of the bike looks quite sporty and futuristic. It has F77 inspired headlamps, angular body design and single-piece seat. The chassis of the bike is made from cast aluminium, which provides both strength and lightness. A windscreen has also been added to protect the rider from wind pressure at high-speed. The company has launched a special variant of this bike “Desert Wing Edition” Has also been presented.

Advanced technology and safety features

This bike is also quite ahead in terms of technology. It has been provided with a radar-based assistance system named UV Hypersense, which will be available in all variants. The system offers a 150-degree front view and 68-degree rear view and can track up to about 200 meters. Apart from this, many smart features are available in the bike like:

  • rear collision alert
  • lane change assist
  • overtake warning

For safety, features like dual-channel ABS, four level traction control, nine level regenerative braking, dynamic stability control and tow alert are also provided.

Battery, range and performance

Talking about performance, this bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and its top speed is said to be 145 km/h. For charging, it has a 1.6 kW onboard air-cooled charger, which also has safety features like surge and earth leakage protection.
