Patna. After Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to go to Rajya Sabha, a new chapter of change of power has been written in Bihar on Thursday. He himself has announced this through ex-post, after which there will be a BJP CM for the first time in Bihar, but the question is that which BJP leader will be crowned with power?

Let us tell you that BJP has always been surprising political pundits with its decisions, but in the current circumstances of Bihar, names of many big leaders are running in the race for the post of CM. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Patna. Amit Shah will be present during the Rajya Sabha nomination of BJP National President Nitin Nabin and Nitish Kumar. Not even six months have passed since the NDA government in Bihar has decided that Nitish Kumar has now decided to go from Patna to Delhi, so the transfer of power in Bihar is also certain. Who will be the next Chief Minister of Bihar in place of Nitish and who will be made the Deputy Chief Minister? Many such questions remain in the minds of people.
Which BJP leader is in the CM race?
The names of Dilip Jaiswal, Samrat Chaudhary, Sanjeev Chaurasia and Kendriya Nityanand Rai are being discussed for the post of Chief Minister from BJP. Apart from this, many other names are being speculated, but for the first time in the political history of Bihar, there will be a Chief Minister from BJP.
The biggest discussion within the NDA is about which face the party will bet on if the post of Chief Minister goes to the BJP. At present, churning is going on on many names, but Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is considered to be the frontrunner in this race. Samrat Chaudhary is the strongest contender. Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Samrat Chaudhary is considered to be the strongest in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Samrat Chaudhary comes from the Kushwaha community of OBC category and in the last few years, he has strengthened his position both at the organization and government level. In the last two years, Samrat Chaudhary has also gained experience of working in the government with Nitish Kumar, due to which he is being said to be the frontrunner in the race for Chief Minister from both administrative and political point of view. He is considered a strong leader even within the BJP.

Second prominent name is Union Minister Nityanand Rai in CM race
The second prominent name for Chief Minister in BJP is Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai. Nityanand Rai belongs to the OBC Yadav community and has been working as a junior minister to Home Minister Amit Shah at the Center for the last six years. It is believed that if BJP wants to give a big message to the Yadav community, RJD’s biggest vote bank, regarding the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2029, then Nityanand Rai can be a strategic option.
In Bihar politics, Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav have traditionally dominated the Yadav vote bank since 1990. In such a situation, if BJP makes the Chief Minister from the Yadav community, then it can also be a strategy to make a dent in this strong vote bank of the opposition. Dilip Jaiswal in the race for CM After Samrat Chaudhary and Nityanand Rai, the name of former state president of the party and minister in Bihar government, Dilip Jaiswal, is also in discussion to become the Chief Minister of BJP.
Dilip Jaiswal comes from the EBC Vaishya community and if BJP wants to stake claim on an EBC leader instead of choosing any OBC, Dilip Jaiswal can be an option. Dilip Jaiswal comes from Vaishya (Kalwar) community and has a strong political base from Kishanganj area of Seemanchal. Within the party, he is considered a leader of gentle and balanced nature. Whenever Union Home Minister Amit Shah visits Kishanganj on Seemanchal tour, he often stays at Dilip Jaiswal’s Medical College. From this, his closeness to the central leadership can be estimated.
Sanjeev Chaurasia will be made CM

In the race to become the Chief Minister of BJP, the name of five-time MLA from Digha Assembly seat of Patna, Sanjeev Chaurasia is also coming to the fore. Sanjeev Chaurasia comes from Vaishya community and is considered a leader with strong organizational hold in the Patna region. Sanjiya Chaurasia, being an MLA for a long time, also has administrative and political experience. Sanjeev Chaurasia’s father Ganga Prasad is one of the founding members of the BJP and has also previously been the Governor of Sikkim.
