Upcoming Maruti Brezza Facelift Imagined
Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker by volumes, is known to be working on a facelift to the Brezza. The sub-compact SUV is currently in its second generation and the facelift will help in keeping it relevant in the fast-evolving segment. Recent spy shots have confirmed that the updated model will come with notable design changes. Now, MRD Vlogsa content creator based in the automotive niche, has shared a set of pictures showing what the new Brezza could possibly look like.
Maruti Brezza Facelift Imagined
Before taking a deep dive into this design, let’s state one thing clearly: This is not an official sketch or rendering, but a fan-made illustration. The actual facelift may have notable design differences.
Let’s take a look at these renders. We can see the front, side, and rear angles. The artist appears to have used AI to generate these images. The front fascia now has clear design changes. The grille is larger and gets different detailing. Several areas of the design have been Blacked out. The grille and its surrounds, A,B and C pillars, and roof are all finished in Black.

The headlamps are larger and now feature a different design. We can also see sleek L-shaped LED DRLs. The front bumper has touches of Black and a Silver skid plate. Black cladding can also be seen around the vehicle, and along the wheel arches. The alloy wheels get a stylish five dual-spoke design.
The side view seems familiar. Except for the wheels, most areas of the design look like those of the second-generation Brezza. Some influence of the first generation can also be seen at certain places.

The rear view appears even more interesting. The ground clearance seems to have gone up significantly and the rear view is very vocal about the same. There’s a rear spoiler, finished in Black, and a restyled rear hatch. ‘Suzuki’ is written on the trim above the registration plate area. The rear bumper has been reshaped and looks more muscular than the one on the current model. It even has a Silver skid plate. The LED taillamps have been redesigned and look much better than those of the outgoing model.

There is even a picture that shows a visualisation of the new Brezza’s interior. The cabin has an all-Black theme. There is a large freestanding touchscreen at the centre. Interestingly, this system has no physical controls.
The instrument cluster is a semi-digital unit. The steering wheel would feel familiar to existing Maruti Suzuki owners. The vehicle shown here has an automatic transmission. We can also see the automatic climate control system and its controls.

All in all, this illustration has a lot of visual appeal. It looks like an evolution of both the first and second generation SUVs. Many still believe that the second generation softened the Brezza’s aesthetics a bit too much and that the first generation, particularly the 2020 facelift had more road presence.

This illustration has kept those ‘imposing’ styling cues safe while still staying close to the second-generation’s visual sophistication. In other words, it is a sweet mix of the best cues from both designs, which we wish made it to production!
So, What Will The Brezza Facelift Come With?

Enough savouring a render image. Let’s now see what the new SUV will actually offer. Maruti will not tweak the design much. Minor changes will be made to the front and rear bumpers, headlamp cluster, LED DRLs, and alloy wheels.
Inside, the new SUV will get a larger touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. This will likely come from the Victoris. It will also have front parking sensors and may even come with ventilated seats. The rest of the feature list will remain the same as the current model- 360 camera, automatic climate control, electric sunroof, cruise control and so on.
Several changes are expected on the mechanical front. The five-speed manual transmission on the current model will likely be replaced with a six-speed manual. There are also reports of the carmaker replacing the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, borrowed from the Fronx, although in a different state of tune.
The greater possibility is for Maruti Suzuki to keep these limited to the higher variants and offer the 1.5L engine on lower ones. And finally, the CNG variant will get an underbody tank, just like the Victoris. This will help in ensuring a usable boot space.
