Notice to Kejriwal in ‘hanging house’ case, AAP raises demand for live streaming of proceedings

Tezzbuzz Desk – Aam Aadmi Party has raised a big question regarding the appearance of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal before the Privileges Committee in the Delhi Assembly. The party has demanded that this entire proceeding be telecast live, so that transparency is maintained and the public can know the truth.

Delhi State President Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the Privileges Committee of the Assembly should show its proceedings live and journalists should also be allowed to attend the meeting. He says that this will strengthen the democratic process and there will be no scope for any kind of misunderstanding.

Kejriwal was called on the hanging house issue

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that reports are coming that former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been called before the Privilege Committee on the issue related to the hanging house. He said that there are assembly committees in every state in the country and many committees work in the Parliament too, but the tradition that BJP has started of calling the former Chief Minister in front of the committee can have far-reaching effects on politics.

He alleged that Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta And the BJP government of Delhi is not understanding the impact of this decision properly.

Live streaming is necessary for transparency

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the committees of the Assembly have always been known for transparency. He claimed that during the Aam Aadmi Party government, more committees were run than the BJP and in many cases their proceedings were also telecast live.

He said that whenever there was a meeting on any important issue or any person was called, live streaming was done on his demand and journalists were also called inside. An appeal was also made for impartial reporting from the media.

Question asked to BJP

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that if Arvind Kejriwal himself is demanding live telecast of the committee proceedings, then the Speaker should have no objection in it. He said that the Speaker should come before the media and clarify whether there will be live streaming of the proceedings or not.

Raising the question, he said that if live telecast is not done, then it should also be told what is the thing to hide which the proceedings are not being made public.
