Tezzbuzz Desk- India has made it to the final of T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating England in a thrilling match. India defeated England by 7 runs in the semi-finals and will now face New Zealand in the title match. New Zealand had earlier won the ticket to the final by defeating South Africa in the semi-final.
In the semi-final match, India, batting first, set a big target of 254 runs for England. The England team, which came out to chase such a big target, tried hard, but in the end it fell a little short of the target. The England team could score only 246 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Young batsman Jacob Bethall performed brilliantly for England and scored a quick century. Baithal scored 105 runs in just 48 balls with the help of 7 sixes. This was the first century of his T20 international career. However, despite his brilliant innings, England had to face defeat.
Indian bowlers bowled well in moments of pressure. All-rounder Hardik Pandya was India’s most successful bowler. He took 2 important wickets for 38 runs in 4 overs. A total of 6 bowlers were used by India, out of which 5 bowlers were successful in taking wickets. Apart from Pandya, four other bowlers took one wicket each and played an important role in the team’s victory.
