India defeated England by 7 runs in a thrilling match, will face New Zealand in the final.

Mumbai India has made it to the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup by defeating England by 7 runs in a thrilling match in the second semi-final. In this high scoring match played at the historic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Team India, batting first, scored 253 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the England team could score only 246 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Now in the title match, India will face New Zealand team on March 08 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

India’s big score with Samson’s explosive innings

Abhishek Sharma was out early in the beginning of the Indian innings, but after this Sanju Sassaman batted aggressively and put pressure on the England bowlers. He played a brilliant inning of 89 runs in 42 balls, which included eight fours and seven sixes.

Samson made an important partnership of 97 runs with Ishan Kishan for the second wicket. Kishan scored 39 runs in 18 balls. After this, Shivam Dubey also put the team in a strong position by playing a quick inning of 43 runs in 25 balls.

In the last overs, Hardik Pandya scored 27 runs in 12 balls and Tilak Verma scored 21 runs in 7 balls, taking India’s score beyond 250.

Bethel’s century, but could not give victory to England
While chasing the target of 254 runs, England suffered initial setbacks. Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakravarthy created pressure by taking one wicket each in the powerplay.

However, England batsman Jacob Bethall kept the team in the match by scoring a brilliant century. He formed important partnerships with Jos Buttler, Tom Banton and Will Jacques.

After 17 overs of the match, England’s score was 209 runs and they needed 45 runs in the last three overs. At that time the competition had become completely exciting.

Bumrah and Pandya’s overs changed the match
In the 18th over, Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly and gave only 6 runs. After this, Hardik Pandya increased the pressure on England by dismissing Sam Curran in the 19th over.

The responsibility of bowling the last over was given to Shivam Dubey and Jacob Bethel was run out on the very first ball after scoring 105 runs. With this, England’s hopes ended and Team India won by 7 runs and secured a place in the finals.
