Jodhpur. A truck-tanker filled with gas cylinders coming from Pindwara in Sirohi district towards Jodhpur crushed two youths riding a bike. The bike was shattered and the youth was dragged for a long distance. Both the youth died on the spot in the accident.
The accident happened near a petrol pump on Kankani Highway in Luni. On information, probationer RPS Devendra Kumar reached the spot. The dead bodies have been removed from the spot and sent to the hospital mortuary. The truck driver was arrested and found under the influence of alcohol. At present advance action is being taken.
Trainee RPS officer and Luni police station officer Devendra Kumar told that a truck-tanker filled with gas cylinders was coming towards Jodhpur from Pindwara. When this truck reached the border of Kankani, it hit two youths riding a bike ahead of it.
Both the youth died on the spot in the accident. Trainee RPS Devendra Kumar said that the deceased have been initially identified as Ashish Bamania of Barmer and Vishal Kumar of Uttar Pradesh. Both of them worked in construction for a company in Kankani.
Who were going to the site late in the evening. He told that the driver of the truck-tanker was under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle has been confiscated. The bodies have been sent to the hospital mortuary for further action.
