Team India made 3 world records as soon as it reached the finals, which no other team in the world has been able to make till date.

Team India has made it to the finals by defeating England by 7 runs in the semi-final match of T20 World Cup 2026. At the same time, the New Zealand team reached the final by defeating South Africa in the first semi-final. In such a situation, now the grand finale will be played between India and New Zealand on March 8. This match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. But, after reaching the finals, the Indian team has achieved a feat which no other team in the world has been able to do till date.

Team India made world record

The Indian cricket team has booked the ticket for the final of T-20 World Cup 2026. This will be the fourth time that India is going to play the final of this tournament. With this, Team India has created history and has become the first team in the world to reach the final for the fourth time. No team could do this before.

This is the first time this has happened

By defeating England in the semi-finals, Team India entered the grand finale. India had won the title in T-20 World Cup 2024 and now it is going to take the field to defend its trophy. This will be the first time that the defending champion of this tournament will defend her trophy in the final. This had never happened before.

India left Australia behind

By reaching the final of T-20 World Cup 2026, the Indian team has broken a huge record of Australia. Till now, the record of playing ICC Finals most number of times was in the name of Australia. But, now India has made this record in its name. The Kangaroo team has played 14 finals in ICC events so far, while the Indian team is going to play the 15th final.
